The Togo chair (designed by Michel Ducaroy) has always piqued my interest. It’s by far the most appealing piece of furniture I’ve ever seen that resembles a larva. Despite (or perhaps because of?) its insectoid qualities, it has an odd versatility and can be found in a wide range of rooms. It works for slouchy Bohemian interiors as well as minimal, arty-rich ones; it’s equally at home with traditional and modern pieces. It can even pass muster in a hunting lodge, thanks to the leather version.

My partner bought me this wonderfully weird chair for Christmas, which I had wanted. And here are my thoughts on it.

My Thoughts on the Design

I think the design of the Togo chair is a masterpiece. It is modern, stylish, and comfortable—all rolled into one package. Its unique characteristic comes from its soft lines and curves, which provide not only visual appeal but also practical comfort. The overall shape of the chair encourages proper posture and provides support for the user’s body.

Additionally, the materials used are of excellent quality, so you can expect the chair to last for years with proper care and maintenance. The microfiber fabric is breathable, so it won’t make you sweat or stick to your skin like some other fabrics do.

Furthermore, its light frame makes it easy to move around while also providing adequate support when in use. Also, its low profile allows it to fit into any space without taking too much visual presence away from the surroundings. All in all, I believe that the Togo chair is an incredibly well-designed product that will surely bring great joy and comfort to anyone who uses it.

Is Togo Chair Comfortable?

The Togo chair is an incredibly comfortable piece of furniture. It is designed with four layers of foam, which provide a great deal of support and cushioning for the user. The shape of the seat gives your back more support, and the armrests are padded for extra comfort.

Additionally, the base of the chair has a swivel design that allows it to move with you as you sit and relax in it. This makes it great for people who may need to move their chairs around frequently or those who don’t have a lot of room to spare.

The overall design of the Togo chair also helps ensure optimal comfort. The height can be adjusted easily so that users can find the best position for them.

Also, the fabric used for the upholstery is soft and inviting, which makes you feel even more comfortable when you lay back in it. In addition, its lightweight construction also contributes to its comfort level since users won’t feel weighed down by it when they sit in it. Finally, thanks to its durable materials, this chair can last for years without needing any major repairs or replacements.

Overall, there’s no denying that the Togo chair offers an incredible level of comfort that isn’t often seen in many other pieces of furniture today. With its sturdy design and high-quality materials, this piece should last for many years and continue to be reliable and comfortable.

Is It Durable?

Yes, the Togo chair is incredibly durable. It is made of premium leather that is designed to withstand wear and tear while also offering a luxurious look and feel. The frame of the chair is made from high-grade steel, making it highly resistant to corrosion and damage from everyday use.

The chair’s padding is also made to last and give comfortable support for a long time. The solid construction makes the Togo chair an ideal choice for those who want a piece of furniture that will withstand years of use without showing signs of deterioration or loss of comfort.

How Much Does It Cost?

The price of a Togo chair can vary depending on the retailer, manufacturer, and condition. A new Togo chair typically costs around $2,000 USD, but second-hand models can be found for much less.

If you’re looking to acquire a genuine Togo chair from its original creator, Ligne Roset, you may end up paying between $3,500 and $4,000 USD. However, depending on where you purchase it, some retailers may be able to offer discounts for certain styles or configurations of the Togo chair.
